Fiddle lessons
As a teacher, AJ likes to focus on right and left hand technique, style, and repertoire. He has taught private lessons for ten years both in person and online. With a diverse yet thorough knowledge of various styles, he is able to address questions on old-time, bluegrass, and Cajun music, and the fiddle in general. He will meet students where they are at - if that’s regular lessons or just an infusion every so often to dig into certain topics.
Workshops
AJ teaches workshop to groups ranging from 5-40 people for gatherings, camps and events. As a teacher he is known for clear explanations and pacing that pushes just enough but not too much. Past teaching engagements include Festival of American Fiddle Tunes, American Fiddle Method Camp, Augusta Heritage Center, Folklore Village, Minnesota State Fiddlers Association, and others.
